EAM invest clients’ accounts using value-based analysis incorporating values such as, but not limited to: trends in profitability, demographics, management efficiency employing capital, and financial ratios. Additionally, subjective investigations are made into the market’s perception of a company’s product compared with utility/quality/reputation of competitors’ products and relative market capitalization. The emphasis of EAM’s investment strategy is long-term with goals of capital appreciation in up markets and capital preservation in down markets. EAM invests in what it determines to be undervalued equities worldwide. EAM offers ongoing portfolio management services based on the individual goals, objectives, time horizon, and risk tolerance of each client. EAM creates an Investment Policy Statement for each client, which outlines the client’s current situation (income, tax levels, and risk tolerance levels) and then constructs a plan (the Investment Policy Statement) to aid in the selection of a portfolio that matches each client’s specific situation. EAM evaluates the current investments of each client with respect to their risk tolerance levels, experience and/or client comprehension of each investment, and time horizon. EAM will request discretionary authority from clients in order to select securities and execute transactions without permission from the client prior to each transaction. Risk tolerance levels are documented in the Investment Policy Statement, which is given to each client.
